Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Scramblers Bucks – This week, our Scramblers App promotion has been updated. The new offer is an additional Scrambler Buck at the end of your meal when your server hands out bucks.  This is not for immediate redemption; rather, it is an offer of an additional buck.  In addition, the Marie-club will receive the first of three email blasts offering $3 off your next meal valid January 21-24.
  2. Orlando Bread – Please be advised, as with all vendor transitions, the switch to our new bread company has come with a number of growing pains particularly with regard to service. Orlando has assured us that issues such as invoicing, crediting, delivery, and overstocking inventory levels will all be fixed immediately.  In the meantime, please be conscious of the number of loaves that may be moldy.  Please inform staff to watch for mold before bread gets to our guests.  Once inventory levels are adjusted appropriately, this issue will not be as prevalent a concern.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Door Dash – For all Scramblers and City Egg restaurants currently enrolled in the Door Dash delivery service please consider: Part of the Door Dash protocol is the requirement for a ‘Special Instructions’ option available to the guest placing the order. Unfortunately, this option allows for far too many variables in menu adjustments, substitutions, unregulated upgrades, and confusion.  Unfortunately, this ‘Special Instructions’ selection cannot be eliminated because its original design is to inform the restaurant and food service providers of any significant allergy or dietary restrictions that would have to be considered when preparing the food.  It is not designed to allow menu selection adjustments.  Therefore, it is imperative that cooks and servers ignore any and all special instructions having to do with menu substitutions.  ‘Special Instructions’ is only to be taken into consideration when related to food allergies or critical preparation information.  Otherwise, please ignore all special instructions on the Door Dash tablet.  When in doubt, contact Door Dash to contact the consumer directly.

OPERATIONS MANUAL CHANGES

Manuals Update – Several staff manuals have been updated with minor corrections and more current and accurate descriptions.  These include the Cooks Manual, Servers Manual, Hostess Manual, and Busser Manual.  Also updated is the Manager Quarterly Evaluation.  In addition, a new chapter has been created in the Ops Manual called ‘Training’ which currently includes Scramblers Server Development Training and Cook Development Training protocol.  All of these updates have been published in the Scramblers Library tab in The Coop.  Please download these new parts to your Operations Manual so that you will have an updated version in your restaurant.  We are also currently working to update Training Videos in Scramblers University.  Look for new versions of these in the coming months.
