NEW INFORMATION
- Spring/ Summer LTO – Our Seasonal Sensations Limited Time Offering Menu is complete and has been shipped to all locations. Start date for the LTO is Wednesday, April 10. At that time, your POS system will be updated to include these LTO items. Attached is the Product Preparation Guide. Be advised, the following corrections had to be made to this guide:
- ) Berry Nutty Avocado Toast preparation instructions read “sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese on top”. As shown in the photo, the product description, and the recipe, this now reads “sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.”
- ) The Berry Nutty Avocado Toast Recipe and preparation instructions indicate that it is served with a Scrambler Side. This is not the case. As shown in the picture and the product description, this is served with a leaf lettuce/orange slice garnish. Not a Scrambler Side.
- ) Metro Mango shows a 16 oz glass in the photo and reads “20oz”. Both are wrong. This should be served in your current 22oz soda pop cup.
Please print this and provide to your staff. As indicated in the guide, you will need to purchase two new items for this menu. Mango mix will be direct-shipped to your store from Caruso’s Coffee, and you will need to purchase pineapple juice from your local grocer or from the GFS order guide. LTO Product Prep Guide
- LTO Menu Promotions – Be advised, the Scramblers App ‘Promotion’ tab will change on Wednesday, April 10 to offer $2 Off the purchase of an item from our Season Sensations LTO Menu. In addition, an email blast will go out to our e-club subscribers on Saturday, April 13 with an offer of $2 Off the purchase of any item from the LTO available Monday, April 15 – Friday, April 19. Prepare your staff to honor these discounts.
- Easter – This year, April 21 is Easter Sunday. If you have not already done so, please place our Easter signs in your lobby to make sure your guests know that we are not only open on Easter, but ready and able to serve them quickly, as it is typically a slower than average volume Sunday. We will be advertising this via social media as well.
RECURRING TOPICS
- GFS Order Guide – In an effort to purchase more efficiently, we have made a couple of minor changes/ updates to the GFS order guide. We have added a folded napkin. This does not replace our current napkin, but can be purchased as an additional item, as its quality is on par, but is much less expensive and can be used when guests request more napkins at their table. Stores should continue to use the unfolded napkins for silverware rolls, but this offers a less expensive way to provide guests with additional napkins when needed. We have also changed the spec to our oranges. Through research from one of our own franchise operators, we have discovered and tested a case of oranges that allows for a higher count at a better price, with equal yield. This is a great way to cut costs without compromising our product. The new oranges are only slightly smaller, at a fraction of the cost, but still offer the same number of slices.
- Auditing – One of the questions brought up in our Managers Operations Training a couple of weeks ago was about how to audit tickets in Dinerware for potential mistakes or abuse. One quick way to audit tickets to see if they have been reopened after being closed and then changed for any reason is easy to do. This can be found in the ‘Manager Mode’, ‘Auditing’ tab under ‘Ticket Movement by Last Owner’.
