Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Potato Update – After demanding a better quality potato from Lamb Westin, we have sampled multiple different options and have narrowed our search to two choices. The first is a Lamb product that is much improved on the current potato.  The second is the exploration of the option to revert back to the original McCain’s product.  Lamb is providing a large sample size of this new potato to 4 different corporate restaurants in different markets to begin a full two-three week testing phase to commence in the middle of October.  At the completion of this test, we will move forward with one of these two options for all Scramblers locations.  Please be patient as we press to make certain that we are pleased with our product.  Further information and details will be provided as we continue this process.
  2. Summer Savings – Please remind your staff that today, Friday, September 27, is the last day of the Summer Savings promotion. All advertising and access to this Savings Pass will be discontinued at Close of Business.  The Scramblers App promotions tab will be updated with a $2 off coupon for Fall LTO items as will the e-club mailer that will be sent out early next week.  This will run until our Gift Card promotion begins in mid-November.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Scramblin’ To-Go Menu – New bulk carry-out menus have been delivered to all stores. The only update to these menus is a minor price increase.  Please discard all old menus and remember to put copies of these menus in with all carry-out orders for our guests’ future reference.
  2. Side Brussels Sprouts – Be advised, we have already had several inquiries for a ‘side of Brussels Sprouts’ from our guests. We will be creating a button on your DinerWare POS system to charge for this.  When selling a side, sprouts should be sold in a fruit cup, not a rarebit boat.
  3. Banana-tella Pancakes – We have discovered a discrepancy on the Product Preparation Guide for the Fall LTO menu. The picture shows Banana-tella cakes shingled and sold o na platter; however, the guide reads ‘place pancakes on a round plate’.  These should be sold as shown in the picture, shingled on a platter.
  4. Carry-out Containers – Due to the positive feedback on the new carry-out containers, we have added two additional containers for your purchase. The first is a container sized in between the large and small, designed for use with items that are too small for the big container and too large for the small.  The second is a fruit cup.  You may begin to order and use these new containers.  A Standard Operatng Procedure will be provided in the near future for guidance on the use of these containers.
