NEW INFORMATION

  1. Holiday Décor – Time to decorate for the holiday season!  As in years past we encourage all stores to decorate for the Christmas and winter holiday season.  Please remember the original guidelines for holiday decorations as we wish to ensure that our decorations are in good taste and display an appropriate level of tact.  Staff should plan to decorate shortly after Thanksgiving Day.  Below is a reminder of a few of the guidelines:
    1. Please do not gift-wrap wall art
    2. No cling-ons, ‘snow’ sprays, or markers on windows
    3. Please no multi-colored lights or multi-colored garland
    4. Recommended for use: green garland, white lights, poinsettias, ‘gold snow flakes’, and tree ornaments or bulbs
    5. Don’t forget the holiday music!
  2. Stay-Home-Request – Ohio has issued a health order encouraging Ohioans to stay home. Please recognize that, while this request has been issued by the mayors of most of Ohio’s largest cities, it is NOT a mandate.  The Ohio governor has issued a curfew for Ohioans from 10pm to 5am for the next three weeks, but has NOT elected to mandate the closing of restaurants and bars.  When Ohio’s major city mayors implemented their own request for Ohioans to stay at home, they did so recognizing their lack of authority to issue an Order as well as their inability to enforce this request.  Therefore, Scramblers of Ohio will not change our operations in any way.  We will continue full dine-in and carry-out service, with the knowledge that some stores may see a dip in sales as many Ohioans will voluntarily comply with these requests.  Due to the Michigan governor’s mandate, however, Scramblers of Michigan will be operating in a carry-out only capacity until their restrictions are lifted.
  3. Gift Card Promotion – It’s that time of year again! Our annual ‘Buy $50 get $10 Free’ promotion began Wednesday, November 18. Attached is a copy of the SOP for this promotion as well as the tracking spreadsheet for this season’s sales as they compare to last year.  Please encourage your staff to sell gift cards.  This will be a critical promotion designed to contribute to the stability of our company in a very trying and difficult gift card selling season.  It is now more important than ever to sell gift cards to our guests that wish to support local businesses and restaurants.  Please use the tracker to encourage your staff to beat last year’s gift card sales!  Gift Card PromotionGift Card Tracker

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Thanksgiving – Be advised, Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 26. Expect a sales uptick on the Wednesday before and a busy Friday the day after.
  2. Uber Eats – We are having some issues with Uber Eats drivers when they arrive to pay for their pick up but their card shows declined. The simple work-around is to select the ‘voice auth’ button in your dinnerware POS system if their card declines.  Please contact Shawn or Tim for any clarification.
