Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.
NEW INFORMATION
- Substitutions – Be advised, we are making a minor policy change to our allowable substitutions list regarding sides. While it is a rare request, if a guest asks to substitute a Scramblers Side with a meat of their choice, they may do so. This will not be advertised as part of our standard practices or implemented on our menu, but for guests that do request it, the following meat substitutions will be allowed in place of a Scrambler Side: 2 strips of bacon or 1 turkey patty sausage or 1 pork link sausage. You will see this button available for restaurants with the Sizzle system as a matter of convenience to our servers and cooks.
- Thanksgiving – Just a reminder that next Thursday is Thanksgiving Day. We will be open 8am – Noon this day, but be ready for a busy day. Business will be strong on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and into the weekend next week. Staff appropriately!
- Gift Card Promotion – Be advised, our annual ‘Buy $50, Get $10’ Gift Card Sales Promotion began last Wednesday, November 17. All stores should have received a package containing all necessary promotional material including gift cards, sleeves, certificates and a hard-copy SOP. Signs should be hung and servers wearing buttons. Attached is a link that will be updated in real-time to show all gift card sales in all Scramblers locations throughout the season. Notice that there are three different tabs at the bottom of the document representing three different spread sheets including 1). Difference between this year and last year, 2). 2021 Sales, 3). 2020 Sales. Have a great gift card selling season! Gift Card Sales Tracker
- Holiday Décor – Time to decorate for the holiday season! As in years past we encourage all stores to decorate for the Christmas and winter holiday season. Please remember the original guidelines for holiday decorations as we wish to ensure that our decorations are in good taste and display an appropriate level of tact. Staff should plan to decorate shortly after Thanksgiving Day. Below is a reminder of a few of the guidelines:
-
- Please do not gift-wrap wall art
- No cling-ons, ‘snow’ sprays, or markers on windows
- Please no multi-colored lights or multi-colored garland
- Recommended for use: green garland, white lights, poinsettias, ‘gold snow flakes’, and tree ornaments or bulbs
- Don’t forget the holiday music!
RECURRING TOPICS
- Now Hiring – Be advised, we are sending a clear QR Code sticker to all Scramblers locations with instructions. This will be placed on the bottom left corner of your ‘Now Hiring’ sign to be used as a simple link directly to our Scramblers Application page. Look for it next week!
- Holiday Hours Signs – If you have not already done so, please post your Holiday Hours signs in your lobby now! This will help spread the word and increase your Thanksgiving sales.
- Holiday Season – We are only a few short weeks away from our holiday season. Here is a brief list and synopsis on what sales volume to expect as it compares to normal sales so that you may staff appropriately. Consider this as a general reference, though it is always wise to look at your individual store sales’ trends for exceptions:
- Day before Thanksgiving (Nov 24) – Up 20%
- Thanksgiving Day (Nov 25) – In many locations volume is the same as a normal Thursday, but we are only open from 8am-12pm, so you do the same volume in only 4 hours. Makes for a busy rush, so be prepared
- Day after Thanksgiving (Nov 26) – Very busy. Up 75-150% from a normal Friday. Sometimes even busier than Saturday or Sunday of that weekend.
- Christmas: The week leading up to Christmas Day (whenever the kids get out of school; probably Dec 20 or 21 this year) begins to get busy. Each weekday is 50-75% up on a normal weekday. Christmas Eve often does the equivalent sales volume as a busy Saturday or soft Sunday. We are closed Saturday, Christmas Day (only day of the year) and then December 26 will be a busy Sunday, 27th will be a busy Monday, and 28-31 will be the equivalent of Saturday-like sales. We often set weekly sales records during this week. No one-single day is like a ‘Mother’s-Day-kind-of-busy’, but each day is busier than normal, which makes for an over-all busy week. You will want as much staff available throughout this week as possible.
- New Year’s Day (Saturday Jan 1) – Up 50% (i.e. more like Sunday sales). Other than Thanksgiving Day, this is the only day of the year that our hours change because we open late. Hours are 8am-3pm.
- That following day will be normal strong Sunday. Then business falls off on Monday, Jan 3. At that point, cut staff and start cleaning!
