NEW INFORMATION
- New Menus – We are currently working on a new Scramblers ‘all-day’ menu. As with all updates, this menu will allow us to make the necessary changes to better position us in the market. This new menu design will incorporate our 3-4 ‘seasonal LTO’ items as well as our cocktails directly on the menu. The total footprint will be slightly larger and the design even better. We also anticipate a slight price hike in order to keep up with the ever-growing cost of doing business. Look for this menu to roll out in late February.
- Social Media – Below is our February Social Media Calendar. As always, if you would like to be part of our online digital marketing campaign, contact Kelly directly! February Social Media Calendar

- Egg Prices – To all Scramblers license holders and management team, we recognize that we are in uncharted waters as it pertains to the price of eggs. Due to an unprecedented spike in the number of egg-laying hens being slaughtered to prevent the spread of bird flew, the price of eggs has hit and broken records multiple weeks in a row. Unfortunately, this week it spiked dramatically again and shows no sign of slowing down. As you may know, our contract with Gordon Food Service is to follow the Urner Berry market, purchasing our eggs at $.19 below. However, prices have risen so dramatically that they currently sit at an unsustainable level, forcing us to shop for outside vendors or different avenues for eggs. We are currently doing all we can to find better egg prices, but the supply and demand of the market is upside-down and effecting all buyers. Adding to this egg-price crises is a new law passed in California, Colorado and now Michigan requiring all eggs purchased in the state, at wholesale or retail, be from cage-free hens. This dramatically limits supply even further. As this is an important part of our business, we recognize that these market spikes are a temporary cost of doing business, and anticipate relief from these high prices at some point. Until then, we encourage all managers to seek alternatives to egg purchasing if you can, and share with each other whenever possible. You may even find better pricing in grocery stores or bulk sellers. In many cases, grocers are purchasing eggs and selling them at a loss to artificially keep the cost down to keep their customers from shopping elsewhere. While we have no control over this price spike, we will continue to look for any available options to mitigate the impact to Scramblers.
