NEW INFORMATION

  1. Easter Sunday – Just a reminder, this Sunday, April 1, is Easter Sunday.  This is notoriously one of the slower volume Sunday’s of the year.  Please keep this in mind when staffing your store.
  2. Cold Brew – A word to the serving staff.  If you have not yet tasted cold-brew coffee please understand what the product is so that you may educate guests.  Guests must know that this is not ‘iced coffee’.  Cold-Brew is a very different process and a very different product.  Most stores still have iced coffee available, but guests should understand what they’re ordering before being surprised with a very unexpected product.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. LTO Menu Error – We have identified one inconsistency between the LTO menus that you received last week and the Product Preparation Guide.  The menu does not indicate Swiss cheese on the Ultimate Grilled Bacon and Cheese sandwich though the recipe calls for it.  Because of this, we must comply with the menu as it is what the guest will read and expect.  Therefore, contrary to the recipe and training video, we will NOT put Swiss cheese on the Ultimate Grilled Bacon and Cheese sandwich.

2. Uniform Change – Don’t forget, beginning this Sunday, April 1 we will require that all front-of-house staff is wearing the new Scramblers Standard Uniform pants.  As a reminder to all as indicated in the survey, the following stipulations regarding the changeover from khaki pants to black slacks apply:

  • Black slacks applies to all front-of-house staff (servers, bussers, hostesses)
  • Staff is required to purchase their own uniform pants. Specific brands or retailers will not be required or provided
  • Slacks must be of professional working style
  • Slacks must have belt loops, be of appropriate length and have ‘sewn-in pockets’
  • No jeans
  • No yoga or stretch pants
  • No capris

OPERATIONS MANUAL CHANGES

  1. Uniform Change – The updated uniform changes to all staff will be published on April 1, 2018 and available in the Scramblers University Library.
