NEW INFORMATION

  1. Lamb Westin Potatoes – Be Advised, we are currently investigating several different options for potatoes. However, in the meantime, if you have not shared the following information with your cooks, they are most likely doing it wrong!  It is critical that the proper cooking method for the new potatoes is implemented in your restaurant.  Do not sell dried out, hard, unseasoned potatoes:  The new Lamb Westin potatoes are clearly a smaller cut which makes them more temperamental.  This means that your cooks must take great care in the preparation of these potatoes for our guests.  These potatoes cook much faster, burn more easily and dry out quickly when not treated properly.  Please recognize the importance of pampering these potatoes with far more diligence that we are accustomed to.  The best approach is to bake them for a shorter period of time (par-bake) season appropriately, and place directly on the flat-top to continue to cook.  They should go directly from griddle top to plate so they are hot and fresh, rather than being held for extended periods of time.
  2. Birthday Meal – Along with our ongoing efforts to update, revise, and improve our couponing and discounting policies, we are currently looking into potential changes in the redemption of the Free Birthday Meal for our guests. Currently, our guests receive their birthday meal coupon 7 days prior to their birthday and are eligible to redeem it as many as 6 days following their birthday.  This makes this discount available for a long period of time.  For now, please continue to allow guests to redeem from the time they receive the coupon through up-to 6 days after their birthday.  We anticipate changes in this policy in the future, but it must be implemented as advertised until this change occurs.
  3. Napkins – Be advised, our ‘unfolded’ napkin remains out of stock in the Springfield Distribution Center and may become out of stock in the other DCs in the coming weeks. Until they return, the substitution is the ‘folded’ napkin located in the ‘alternate items’ on the GFS order guide.  Please purchase these and unfold prior to rolling.
  4. Summer Savings e-mail – The Summer Savings Program will send out another e-mail blast to all of our Marie-club members on Tuesday, September 3. Let your staff know to expect more coupon redemptions shortly after this blast.
  5. Marketing – The Scramblers Annual Marketing Plan has been published and is available under the ‘Marketing” tab in The Coop. Attached is a link to the plan providing you and your staff with an over-all understanding of what to expect throughout the Scramblers Calendar Year.     Scramblers Marketing Plan
