Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Daylight Saving Time – Be advised, Daylight Saving Time begins next weekend, Sunday March 8th. Please remind your staff to set their clocks forward by one hour and expect a slightly lower than normal sales volume on Sunday the 8th.  Consider staffing levels and time-in when writing your schedules for next weekend.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Orlando Bread – Be advised, as we continue to work with Orlando to improve the overall product and service, they have begun to put preservatives in their fresh bread to prevent it from molding so quickly. They should still continue to date their loaves when they deliver, though they may have a longer shelf-life and as much as 7-day date-dot.  In the mean-time, we continue to explore frozen deliveries as a possibility in the near future.
  2. Potato Shortage – Be advised, due to an industry-wide crop shortage and increase in demand, Lamb Westin is having trouble fulfilling all orders of hash browns. They have made our account a top priority; however, some stores may experience a GFS brand hash brown substitution periodically over the next couple of months as they try to increase production.  This is a temporary situation that may not affect all Scramblers restaurants and is expected to be resolved within a few months.  This shortage is not expected to affect our McCain’s potato chunks.

OPERATIONS MANUAL CHANGES

  1. W4 update – We have published the new 2020 w4 IRS withholding form in the ‘New Employee Packet’ chapter in the Operations Manual on the Coop. Please use the updated w4 form when hiring new employees.
