Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

 

NEW INFORMATION

  1. New Menus – New menus have arrived! In mid-November we set an ambitious goal to have new Scramblers Menus with new pricing and new offerings completed and in stores by mid-December.  The menus were designed, produced, and distributed even faster than we had anticipated.  All stores should see their new menus by COB Friday, December 4.  However, a number of other logistical items need to be completed before we can begin using these menus.  This coming week we will update our Online Ordering platform, our third-party delivery menus, and our Dinerware POS systems.  Once all have been completed we will designate a date to begin the new menus in all Scramblers locations.  Stores will also be provided a list of changes that occurred to the menu including all price adjustments and recipe changes.  In an effort to continue to simply our menu, scale back the number of poor performing items, re-introduce strong performers from previous LTO menus, and re-categorize existing items for a more user friendly experience, you’ll find that we eliminated ten items, added three new, and decreased the over-all size of the menu going from a tri-fold to a bi-fold.  The new menu prices reflect the significant increased costs of doing business during these very challenging times.
  2. Scramblers Official Menu Guide – In conjunction with a new menu roll-out, several changes are being made to the Scramblers Official Menu Guide in the Operations Manual.  This Guide (which includes the Cook Book, Prep Book, and Recipe Book) was published last Spring as a user-friendly, hard-copy manual for all restaurants.  With the development of a new menu, it is already out-dated.  Therefore, on Monday, Franchisees will gather in Findlay for the Annual Scramblers Franchise License Holders Conference.  We’ve asked the owners to bring their hard-copy manual with them so that we can update these for everyone at our corporate offices and provide them back reflecting the newest Scramblers Menu.  Please get this book to your owner so that you can receive an updated version in short-order.  If you cannot, the updated Scramblers Official Menu Guide will also be available in the Library of the Coop under the Operations Manual folder called ‘Food Preparation’.  It is expected to be published next week to allow all operators the opportunity to download and make the necessary changes to your Guide on your own time.

  1. Gift Card Promotion – It’s that time of year again! Our annual ‘Buy $50 get $10 Free’ promotion began Wednesday, November 18. Attached is a copy of the SOP for this promotion as well as the tracking spreadsheet for this season’s sales as they compare to last year.  Please encourage your staff to sell gift cards.  This will be a critical promotion designed to contribute to the stability of our company in a very trying and difficult gift card selling season.  It is now more important than ever to sell gift cards to our guests who wish to support local businesses and restaurants.  Please use the tracker to encourage your staff to beat last year’s gift card sales!                         Gift Card Promotion    Gift Card Tracker
