- Potato Change – Our switch from Lamb Weston hash browns to McCain’s has had a few minor hiccups along the way. Like most vendor transitions, we have run into a few issues that are being sorted out. Primarily, this week, before GFS can stock enough McCain’s hash browns in the DCs and with an abundance of Lamb Weston cases still in stock, we will be purchasing the last of the Lamb product over the next week or two. However, because our contract with Lamb has run out and we have switched to their competitor, our contract pricing has run out as well as of the first of January. Therefore, the GFS order guide currently shows only one hash brown available for us to purchase from Lamb Weston and at the standard (non-contracted) price. As you will see, this price is almost double our former contract with them. We have pushed GFS and McCain’s to make up the difference in cost because we don’t have McCain’s product available for the next week and McCain’s has agreed to issue credits to our accounts for all Lamb Weston hash browns purchased this week and until the McCain’s product comes in. We expect that in one week we will have the new McCain’s hash browns, potatoes chunks and French fries all available on our order guide at our new contracted price. Until then, look for credits from GFS or McCain’s to make up the difference in the Lamb Weston hash browns.
- Holiday Décor – Now that the holiday season has passed, if you have not already done so, please take down all Christmas decorations in your restaurant. Gift Card Promotion table tents should now all be replaced with ‘Order Online’ table tents.

- Fall LTO Menu – Now that all stores should have pulled the Fall LTO don’t forget to update the Dinerware prices for Stuffed French Toast, Half Order Stuffed French Toast and Southwest Frittata to reflect the current full Scramblers menu.
