Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Father’s Day – Congratulations to all Scramblers locations on another successful Father’s Day including our Pickerington location that did almost $12,000 in gross sales!
  2. Coffee – Be advised, beginning July 1, restaurants will need to begin ordering coffee through Gordon Food Service, rather than directly from Caruso’s. Coffee will be on the GFS order guide and shipped on the GFS food truck and no longer from Caruso’s.  Look to begin ordering Scramblers Blend, Decaf, and one of six approved flavored coffees by the end of June.  Ordering a few extra cases during the transition to mitigate any possible issues in transition is also not a bad idea.  In the future, hot chocolate and syrups will still have to be ordered direct from Caruso’s and shipped at a high cost.  Managers will have to contact Caruso’s for those orders, as Caruso’s will no longer be making those phone calls, and these orders should be as infrequent as possible in order to cut down on excessive shipping costs.
  3. Independence Day – Be advised July 4th is in less than two weeks and falls on a Tuesday this year. Many businesses and municipalities will observe this holiday on the day of or the Monday prior.  Be ready for a busy Monday and Tuesday of that week.
  4. Social Media – Our July social media calendar is complete at attached below! As always, if you or your restaurant would like to be featured or play a role in our on-going social media campaign, please contact Kelly directly!    July Social Media Calendar

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Potato Change – Be advised, we have decided to make a change to a new cubed potato from McCain to Simplot. The new Simplot potato is a better quality and a better price.  We have not yet made a commitment to change over hashbrowns or French fries, but cubed potatoes should be available in approximately two weeks.  Be aware that the pack-size is different, so take note when doing inventory and posting invoice pricing.
  2. Summer Promotion – Be advised, as in year’s past, this year we will be running a late summer promotion. This will be a new promotion that we have not yet run, but will be fun for our guests and easy to implement on an operational level.  Details to follow.
