NEW INFORMATION
- Bread – Our switch from Nickle’s Bakery to Orlando Bakery is expected to begin on the Monday after Thanksgiving. If they have not done so already, Orlando delivery drivers will begin to arrive to meet with store GMs in order to develop par levels. They will supply your wheat, white, rye and sour-dough bread moving forward. We are excited about this change as we expect both service and primarily product to be superior.
- Local-Store Marketing – Based on recommendations from our franchise community, we have created a platform in the Marketing Tab of The Coop to be used as a reference to all Scramblers individual stores. Restaurants can use this reference point as a way to learn about the most effective ways to market their stores within their community. In the next couple of weeks this tab will become more robust with several different suggestions and details about the effectiveness of each.
- Turkey – Our current turkey from GFS has been discontinued. Being forced to find a new product, we stumbled upon a pre-sliced turkey that has us pleasantly surprised. No longer will we receive whole turkey that needs to be sliced and weighed. Rather, we have put this new, pre-sliced turkey on the GFS order guide. The price per ounce is very close and we look forward for this turkey to provide far more consistency and save on in-house slicing labor.

- Potatoes – We have come to the contract year-end with our potato supplier, McCain’s. Please recognize that our price per pound is contracted in advance and has taken the expected increase at the beginning of November. Please change your potato prices on your inventory accordingly.
- Holiday Hours – Its time again to place your holiday hours sign in the front of your restaurant. If you have not already done so, please put your sign out now as it will be helpful for our guests to recognize our operating hours change on Thanksgiving and other holidays to come.
- Gift Card Promotion – Wednesday, November 14 began our ‘Buy $50, Get $10 Free’ gift card promotion. Please encourage your staff to sell gift cards as it will directly affect business in the slower winter months following the holidays. A complete Promotional Alert has been published in the Library in the Coop.
- LTO Discount – Be advised, we have sent a promotional campaign to our e-club with an offer for guests to try an item from our Fall LTO and received a free beverage. Please be prepared to honor this coupon until it expires on Dec 24, 2018.
