Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION
1. Bread – In addition to purchasing our four main breads from Orlando, we will also be purchasing our Brioche bun from them as well. The brioche will be pulled from the GFS order guide. Be prepared to receive Orlando bread beginning this coming Monday, November 26. You may have to work out the details with your driver so that when par levels are adjusted by Nickle’s Bakery for a busier than normal holiday weekend, Orlando is able to provide you that proper amount of bread moving forward.
2. Holiday Décor – As in years past we encourage all stores to decorate for the Christmas and winter holiday season. Please remember the original guidelines for holiday decorations as we wish to ensure that our decorations are in good taste and display an appropriate level of tact. Staff should plan to decorate shortly after Thanksgiving Day. Below is a reminder of a few of the guidelines:
a. Please do not gift-wrap wall art
b. No cling-ons, ‘snow’ sprays, or markers on windows
c. Please no multi-colored lights or multi-colored garland
d. Recommended for use: green garland, white lights, poinsettias, ‘gold snow flakes’, and tree ornaments or bulbs
e. Don’t forget the holiday music!
3. Knorr Hollandaise Sauce – Please be advised, Knorr has made a change to its hollandaise sauce recipe. We currently have multiple locations working out the most effective version of this recipe that will allow us to maintain the consistency in product to our guests. When this recipe has been finalized, the Prep Book will be updated to reflect the new recipe and published in the Coop Library.
RECURRING TOPICS
1. Local-Store Marketing – Based on recommendations from our franchise community, we have created a platform in the Marketing Tab of The Coop to be used as a reference to all Scramblers individual stores. Restaurants can use this reference point as a way to learn about the most effective ways to market their stores within their community. In the next couple of weeks this tab will become more robust with several different suggestions and details about the effectiveness of each.
2. Turkey – Our current turkey from GFS has been discontinued. Being forced to find a new product, we stumbled upon a pre-sliced turkey that has us pleasantly surprised. No longer will we receive whole turkey that needs to be sliced and weighed. Rather, we have put this new, pre-sliced turkey on the GFS order guide. The price per ounce is very close and we look forward for this turkey to provide far more consistency and save on in-house slicing labor.
3. Bread – Be prepared to receive Orlando bread beginning this coming Monday, November 26.
4. Holiday Hours – Its time again to place your holiday hours sign in the front of your restaurant. If you have not already done so, please put your sign out now as it will be helpful for our guests to recognize our operating hours change on Thanksgiving and other holidays to come.
5. LTO Discount – Be advised, we have sent a promotional campaign to our e-club with an offer for guests to try an item from our Fall LTO and received a free beverage. Please be prepared to honor this coupon until it expires on Dec 24, 2018.
