Operations Update

 

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

 

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Gift Card Sales – Our gift card ‘Buy $50, Get $10’ promotion ended on Tuesday, January 1. If you have not done so already, immediately pull all promotional materials at close of business, including signs, table-tents and buttons.  Also at this time, please replace the tip tray decal with our 30th Anniversary decal.
  2. Fall LTO – If you have not already done so, please immediately pull the fall LTO menu.
  3. Holiday Décor – If you have not already done so, please remove all holiday decorations in your store.
  4. Gift Card Inventory – Due to the end of the gift card promotion, stores should inventory their current gift cards and be prepared to turn in cards, sleeves, and all left-over $10 certificates. All stores should maintain 25 cards and sleeves in-store for selling in the off-season, while all other items should be turned in to corporate.
  5. Local Store Marketing – At the beginning of every calendar year all stores are provided a Local Store Marketing (LSM) packet. This packet contains Free Meal Coupons, Free French Toast cards, and Free Coffee cards.  This year, in addition to these cards, we have created a new system that will guide store operators (all General Managers) to implement local store marketing programs that are most effective for their individual stores.  Over the course of many years of the existence of Scramblers, we have developed a tremendous amount of experience in local marketing.  Some things work; others don’t.  Attached is the first of a working document that will provide an extensive amount of information to operators about how to better market their store within their community.  This document has been posted in the ‘Marketing’ tab of the Coop.  GMs are required to play a large role in the development of their store marketing program.  The LSM packet provides the tools necessary to do it well.  Please look over this packet in detail and contact our corporate offices with any questions.  LSM Guide
  6. Gift Card Promo Results – Results are in for this year’s ‘Buy $50, Get $10 Free’ gift card promotion. The attached document provides this year’s results as well as a same store comparison to last year’s sales.  Gift Card Sales Results
  7. Scrambler Bucks – Its Scrambler Bucks Time! This year’s promotion will begin on Wednesday, Jan 16. A full Promotion Alert will be provided in both hard-copy and via attached link next week.  Most notably, all stores should watch for promotional material to begin to arrive in their store next week.  You will be receiving your sign, redemption worksheets, and most importantly, your bucks no later than Friday, January 11.  These will be direct-shipped from different manufacturers.  Please remember that the bucks are valuable ‘coupons’ and should be locked up upon receiving them.
  8. Scramblers App Promo – A new promotion has been created for the Scramblers App. In celebration of 30 years, we are offering $3 off your bill with the purchase of $20 or more.  This promo is available to all guests that show their mobile phone with this app.  It is scheduled to expire on January 15 when the Scrambler Bucks promo will take its place.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Minimum Wage Increase – Please be advised, on January 1, 2019 minimum wage went up again in Ohio to $8.55 with server (sub-min) to $4.30. Please adjust all employee wages who are directly affected by this increase.

OPERATIONS MANUAL CHANGES

  1.  None.
