Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. Fall LTO – Be advised, we are only a little over two weeks away from the end of our Fall LTO Menu. This menu should be discarded at the close of business on Sunday, December 24.  Begin to manage your inventory of any items specific to this menu in order to avoid throwing any product away.  Considering that our top performer on this menu was Cinnamon Roll Pancakes by far, we are likely to put this item on the permanent menu, which is currently undergoing a full re-design for next year.
  2. Scam – Be advised, we have recently been made aware of a scam that is going around potentially affecting our company. Scammers will look up the ‘leader’ or head of any company and anyone with an email or phone number who is part of that company or is associated with this individual.  They then contact the individual via email or text posing as the head of the company or ‘boss’ requesting that the individual purchase gift cards on his or her behalf to be given away has holiday gifts for the company employees.  All while promising a reimbursement.  People with a willingness to help their boss then purchase the cards unaware that their boss did not make this request.  We have seen these texts and emails attached directly to Shain (though from an unknown number).  Please do not become a victim.  Shain will not reach out to you to purchase gift cards for him.  Likewise, if you are a boss of any kind, make sure your staff is aware of this scam posing as you.  If you have further questions, please contact corporate directly.
  3. Kids Menus – Reminder! Great Lakes Hamco has sold the last case of Scramblers Kids Menus to our restaurants. This means that the new updated Kids Menu with new pricing has completed production, and any restaurant that orders Kids Menus moving forward will receive the menu with higher prices on it.  Therefore, we have established January 1, 2024 to be the full company change-over date at which time the Sizzle POS system will be updated with the new prices.  All restaurants must have the new menu by this date.  Until then, sharing current menus is encouraged throughout the markets.  If sharing is not an option and your restaurant runs out of the current price menu, using the new price menu while still charging guests old prices is acceptable.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Gift Card Sales – Attached is our running gift card sales tracker! This attachment will be updated weekly.  Please look how your restaurant compares to others in the company and encourage your staff to sell gift cards!    2023 Gift Card Tracker
  2. Holiday Season – Here is a brief list and synopsis on what sales volume to expect as it compares to normal sales so that you may staff appropriately. Consider this as a general reference though; it is always wise to look at your individual store sales’ trends for exceptions:
    1. First three weeks of December sales volumes begin to dip. Don’t over-staff!
    2. Christmas: The week leading up to Christmas Day (whenever the kids get out of school; probably Dec 20 or 21 this year) begins to get busy.  Each weekday is 50-75% up on a normal weekday.  Christmas Eve will be on Sunday, Dec 24 and will be an expected standard Sunday volume.  We are closed Monday, Dec 25 Christmas Day (only day of the year) and then Tuesday, December 26 will be like a busy Sunday, and the 27th – 31st will be the equivalent of Saturday-like sales.  We often set weekly sales records during this week.  No one-single day is like a ‘Mother’s-Day-kind-of-busy’, but each day is busier than normal, which makes for an over-all busy week.  You will want as much staff available throughout this week as possible.
    3. New Year’s Eve (Sunday, Jan 31) – Expect normal Sunday sales.
    4. New Year’s Day (Monday, Jan 1) –Other than Thanksgiving Day, this is the only day of the year that our hours change because we open late.  Hours are 8am-3pm. Consider this day equivalent to Memorial or Labor Day Monday.  Business will start slow, but a strong late morning and lunch rush should be expected.
    5. Business will then fall off on Tuesday, Jan 2.  At that point, cut staff and start cleaning!
