Operations Update

Our mission is to delight every guest of Scramblers by impressing them with unique breakfast and lunch recipes and attentive friendly service in a clean, dynamic yet comfortable environment.

NEW INFORMATION

  1. New Menu Changes – After this past weekend, 3 more items were noted as necessary changes to our Product Prep Guide for our new menu in addition to those noted below:
    1. Salted Caramel and Banana Waffle – Recipe calls for 1 oz brown sugar; should read 2 oz
    2. Shrimp & Grits – Recipe calls for ‘Whipped Butter’; should read ‘Butter’
    3. Pancake Tacos – These are not available as ‘order 1 or 2’. They are still bottomless, but the prompt on sizzle to order one or two goes away.  However, they can be ordered with the Classic and Mini-Classic as two or one respectively.   New Menu Product Prep Guide
  2. Daylight Saving Time – Let the sun shine in! That’s right, Daylight Saving Time change is upon us once again!  This year, we will spring our clocks ahead by one hour on Sunday March 10.  This makes for a later start to our guests so do not overstaff early in the morning!  Unfortunately, it also makes for an overall dip in sales for the day, so be prepared and staff appropriately.
  3. Flavored Coffee – One item we did not mention in the roll-out of our new menu was the removal of our flavored coffee. We have found that while flavored coffee is a staple in a couple of locations, the overall effect throughout our Scramblers system is coffee pots that get brewed for one or two guests at the most and then thrown away.  In an effort to reduce this waste, we have removed this item from our menu.  Some stores may wish to keep a small amount of it on hand for specific guests as we run through the remaining in-store and Caruso’s inventory; however, it is no longer required to have in your restaurant.
  4. Easter – Be advised, Easter Sunday is March 31 this year. Now is the time to place Easter signs in your lobby to let our guests know that we are open business on this Day.  A very common misconception amongst the public is that we are extremely busy on this day, so many guests avoid coming in to avoid crowds and long wait times.  This can have an adverse effect on our business, so letting the public know well in advance that we have plenty of availability for fast service on Easter Sunday is critical.
