NEW INFORMATION

  1. Birthday Coupon – At long last, and in coordination with our new app that is soon to launch, we have turned the birthday free meal email into a true one-time use coupon. Please print the email guide below and post it at your store. There will be a brief period where both the old and new are valid at stores.  The new coupon will start being sent on July 28th, and by August 5th will be the only valid coupon. Guests will still receive an email 7 days before their birthday, however it is a new style and contains a real QR code for a free entree. Staff must now scan the QR code to have the birthday entree couponed off (this also makes the coupon no longer valid). Since it is a true one-time use coupon, they no longer need to check guests’ ID’s.

*One note with the new coupon: The email will say that it is valid for only the next 14 days. However, the coupon will actually remain usable one time for the following 6 months. We want to instill a sense of urgency and encourage them to visit us around their birthday; however, if they miss the 2-week window, we’d like them to still enjoy their one free meal a year to make a positive impression.

RECURRING TOPICS

  1. Summer Operations – A reminder as we enter the slower weeks of the dog-days of summer; take advantage of the time to train your staff with a concentration on front door operations.  Do you have someone at the front of the restaurant greeting every guest that enters?  If not, put someone there.  These are valuable labor dollars dedicated to making new guests feel welcome to our establishment.  Do not neglect the first impression!  Train your staff to hold open doors, greet with a smile and an enthusiastic “Welcome to Scramblers!” Teach and train them to be better!
